Embarking on a journey to improve sustainable income among rural farmers via access to collective knowledge, modern farming techniques, and a unified marketplace.
Our approach
Through joint efforts, commonly referred to as “land-pooling”, we implemented sustainable and organic farming practices that not only enhanced the quality of our turmeric but also contributed to the health of the cultivated land.
As operations grow, we want the cooperative to symbolize resilience and community strength. Not only does our cooperative cultivate turmeric, but also a sense of camaraderie and mutual support. Markets that were once distant dreams have become accessible through the our joint marketing initiatives, ensuring fair prices and a stable income for every member. Your support improves the livelihood of all community members!
Operations
Located approximately 430 kilometers from the capital city, Kathmandu, Pyuthan District is where a majority of our operations take place. Shown in the map below, there is very limited infrastructure, road access, or major surrounding markets. Most recently, we have established a processing center in Pyuthan District! This processing center will improve efficiencies, and increase yields. Follow our blog page for more production updates!
